The Police Report -- Accusation and Response

The police report about alleged rape was read by Patricia Sampaio in the documentary "Slaves of Faith" as evidence of sexual abuse committed within the Heralds of the Gospel. The corresponding police inquiry was dismissed after the investigation concluded there was no material evidence of the crime. The victim's own mother testified that her daughter had psychiatric disorders and fabricated stories. The investigating officer concluded: "There is no evidence of materiality; the version contradicts all collected elements, being fanciful and not credible."
