Exorcism in the Name of the Founders -- Accusation and Response

The accusation that the Heralds of the Gospel replaced the invocation of Jesus with their founders during liberation prayers is one of the most repeated in the documentary "Slaves of Faith". Historical and canonical analysis demonstrates that invoking saints and founders during exorcisms is a centuries-old tradition of the Catholic Church, perfectly licit, and that competent authorities concluded there were no irregularities. The Judicial Vicar of Braganca Paulista concluded: "No illicit act was committed" (Book, Annex 3). The CDF dismissed the case (pro nunc reponatur).
